How to insert elements in your content in Paligo

Paligo - how to assign a class to an element for CSS styling

Did you know that there are loads of elements that you can use to add semantic structure to your Paligo content? It's not just the handful of common elements you can choose from the menu in the Edit and Insert tabs.

To get to the full range of elements, you need to use the element context menu. This is a context-sensitive menu that you can access via this shortcut:

Command ⌘ + Enter (on Mac)

Alt + Enter (on  Windows).

The element context menu provides a list of the elements that are appropriate at the current cursor position.

You can insert new elements between other elements, for example, add an ordered list between two paragraph elements.

Or you can highlight content and apply an element to the selected text. A common element that I use is guilabel for menu options in software.

So if you've been struggling to find the extra elements or didn't even know they exist, this is how you get to them.

The element context menu is extremely useful and can really speed up your authoring in Paligo.
