Where can you find a tech writer who knows Paligo? Right here

Looking for a Paligo technical writer?

Does your documentation project need a Paligo technical writer? Someone with excellent writing skills, a proven track record in technical writing, and also experience with the Paligo CCMS? Count me in.

I’ve worked on several Paligo projects for clients, and have also worked as a consultant for Paligo, providing technical writing and customer support. So I know my way around the product and can help you get the most of its impressive features.

I'll help you get the most from Paligo

Whether you are starting a brand new Paligo project, importing legacy content, or need an extra pair of hands, I can help you.

Paligo is a powerful product with many capabilities, but with that comes some complexity and a learning curve. But one I've already taken, so I'll be able to contribute to your project from day #1.

How well do I know Paligo? Well, I've worked as a consultant for Paligo for several years and in that time I have:

  • Created various parts of Paligo's online help, including sections on translation management, assignments, and using CSS to customize HTML layouts.
  • Worked directly with Paligo customers, providing product support and technical writing advice for a diverse range of issues.
  • Created content for companies who use Paligo for their documentation.

So you could say I know it pretty well!

Content reuse, variables, filters, branching... not a problem

If you have a mature Paligo project, you might be worried that a contractor will have problems understanding some of the more complex features and your processes. That's perfectly understandable, as content reuse, branching, and filtering can be difficult concepts for inexperienced writers to grasp.

But I've used all of these features before and know how they are implemented in Paligo. So will quickly adapt to how your project is set up and won't be thrown by how you reuse content or apply variables.

Previous Paligo Technical Writing Projects

Unfortunately, non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) prevent me from sharing Paligo projects with you, but I can tell you the general details of some of my work.

Online Help for Software

I have created several HTML5 help centres in Paligo, and have made extensive use of its content reuse features. These help to reduce the amount of time and effort needed to update content or create new outputs using content that already exists.

API Documentation

I used Paligo’s HTML5 output to create API documentation. This features text descriptions and a code panel that shows code examples. Readers can switch the language of the code examples with a click of a button. Cool, eh?

Paligo Help Centre

Paligo’s help centre gives the HTML5 online help a sleeker, more modern look. I used this output for a software company and used Paligo’s content reuse features to minimise the amount of work needed to update content as the software changes.

PDF User Guides

I was hired to turn an existing PDF guide into Paligo content. It was then output as Zendesk customer support articles and as a PDF. I used text fragments to make sure that content was reused rather than duplicated.

Let's get your content project started. Get in touch and let me know what you need.
